Anyone who's anyone know's about the Beauty Blender that not so long ago entered the Market. An egg shaped sponge that leaves the foundation looking flawless. A miracle worker.
We were quite disappointed to find that it retails for R200 on Ruby box as that is too steep for our budget so imagine our glee when we found a dupe at dischem for R27, a cheaper alternative to the dupe sold at Clicks for R60.
The pointy part of the Beauty Blender allows for easy application to the corners of your eyes, the nose and also making it easy to apply concealer to underneath the eyes and other places. The bigger bottom part of the blender makes foundation easy to apply on the bigger parts of the face like the cheeks and forehead.
To use the beauty blender, wet the sponge and squeeze out any excess water till damp. Apply foundation directly to the skin or on to the sponge (we prefer applying it directly to the skin to prevent the sponge from absorbing too much foundation) and start spreading the foundation in a light rubbing or blotting motion, where you dab the blender.
For those of you who love your foundation brush, apply your foundation like you normally would and go over the foundation with the damp beauty blender in a dabby motion before applying your powder
Both these methods leave the foundation looking flawless, leaving an effortless airbrush look.
To clean, wash with hot water and normal dishwashing liquid or any soap used to clean your brushes.
This has become a staple in our everyday makeup routine and we simply can't do with out it
...and that's about it!
